Mr. and Mrs. Romney

On July 6th, 2007 my best friend and older sister, Nicole, got married to one of the greatest men I know. In honor of their recent nuptials, I have written a sad excuse for a poem, but here it is nonetheless.

This ode is for Nicole and Jake,
Two people who are far from fake,
I love them so dearly,
My voice says quite clearly,
I want what you have someday.

The care that you show to each other
The lack or the pleth’ra of brothers
Your testimonies are strong
You help others belong
I want what you have someday.

Exercising together in the early hours
Cuddling during warm April showers
Jake makes tunes on a whim,
And Nic laughs to stay trim,
I want what you have someday.

Watching The Phantom with glee,
For me it is easy to see,
Your love is eternal
Your example supernal,
I want what you have someday.
