PWC in Santa B.

I recently became part of team PWC in Santa B for the Ogden Relay Marathon. We split the race between five girls: Rachel DeFreese running 7, me running 6.1, Kaela Poepping and Rachel Lovejoy running 5 each, and Shawna Bishopp running 3.1. It ended up being really fun--I'd forgotten how good it feels to be a part of something big like that.

cleaning mishap

Yesterday I was rushing to get my things ready to go up to the Ogden Marathon. I had put some toilet bowl cleaner in and forgot about it until I was all loaded up with purse, duffel, and pillow. I rushed in and decided to just clean it before I left. Unfortunately, being laden with all my stuff tipped my purse and knocked my cell phone INTO THE TOILET. At least it was a newly cleansed toilet, but still, INTO THE TOILET. I let it dry out for several hours and had no luck trying to turn it on.This morning, when we got up at 4:15am to get to the race by 5am, I tried it one more time. IT WORKED! Prayer really does work and (in case you were wondering) phones really can dry out after being dropped in the toilet.

I can't wait to make music videos to Celine (which, by the way, Ash, I still need to get from Isaac somehow) and document the fun happenings of the summer.

I think I'm going to have to upgrade my computer that I'll soon be purchasing, now that I'm the proud owner of such a fun toy that will take up a TON of space.

I'm a weiner! I mean a winner! I mean, yeah for me!!!

a rough workout

After getting frustrated about not doing the eagle exercise during our adapted p.e. class, Andy informed me that A.P.E. should go to hell.
And with the way my kids act every wednesday and friday after the class it might not be such a bad idea.

Heavenly Father's funny sense of humor

so i got a phone call last night from my bishop who asks if i'd be willing to give a talk this sunday. about what, you ask? mothers and how they influence our testimonies of the atonement of Jesus Christ.

i didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

but there's no one person that has influenced my testimony of the atonement more than my mom, and perhaps it's time for me to let others know. i'm going to be on my knees a lot during the next few days.

Here's a story for you. I'll give you the play-by-play:

(A student, "Jack," pokes me in the behind while walking down the hall.)
Me: "Jack, please don't touch me there."
Jack: (pokes again)
Me: "Jack, please don't touch me there. I don't like it."
Jack: "Oh, Miss C., I'm so sorry I poked your butt (fake cries). I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Miss C. I want to kiss your butt better."
Me: (hide the uncontrollable urge to burst into laughter)

So, there you go.
